The Spatial Media Lab is hosting our next meetup! The goal for this meetup is to bring people in the field of spatial media together to connect and discuss, to improve the quality of the work and expand the tools that are created. As this meetup is non-hierarchical, we will simply host the space and discuss what we are working on and then let the night flow. If you have something you’d like to present, please reach out to us in advance!
The theme of this online meetup is Experiences & Expectations. After the recent news of the immersive “Willy’s Chocolate Experience” failure, we want to hear from you about immersive experiences you have visited or worked on. What were your expectations? Did the event live up to them? What are some of your favorite immersive experiences and why? What were some failures and what made them a failure in your eyes?
With this discussion we hope to share what makes for a good, and a bad, immersive experience so that all of us working in this field can raise the bar for quality, together.
